There are exciting plans for the launch of a new electric sports car, to be called the Bluebird DC50. Just 50 models of this car will be built, and it will carry the initials of the famous British land and water speed record holder, Donald Campbell.
The car will only be available in 'Bluebird blue' and feature electric scissor doors. Its 360bhp electric motor should give it a range of up to 200 miles depending on the specification and driving style. Bluebird claims that the DC50 will be able to keep up with a Porsche.
The DC50 will be launched at the Sustainable MotorExpo at the end of September and will hopefully go on sale in 2014.
